OH OH, here's another idea for another version of Torturebox (Inspired by Neester when he showcases mods).
If you place a icon when the first loop plays, the mod punishes you, leading to a game over. And maybe hide the loop later in the mix, so you would have to figure out which is the first and second loop.
However some polos may have exceptions, like a bulid-up polo who CAN/MUST be placed during the first loop. Maybe put a little message to let players know.
When first playing the mod, like a review, if you don't let any polo play by itself when first used for the first time...you guess it, you get a game over. For example, letting Beat 1 still play while letting Beat 2 play for the first time is not unacceptable.
WAIT WAIT WAIT! Here's another one. You know how in a mod review, after Neester placed the first beat, he usually places the first effect and does the other beats later? WHAT IF! If you don't place all of the icons in the right order (from Beat 1 to Voice 5), you'll get another game over.
Hello, nyankobflol, I’ve come up with a new idea that you might be able to use in v2: During a remix, a pop-up will appear displaying many questions, and you need to select the correct option within 10 seconds, otherwise the game will fail. Sometimes the pop-up might even ask you to name the instruments, inspirations, effects, and so on used by the characters. I think this is a very interesting idea! So I wanted you to see it and provide your feedback. Thank you!
Can you make a mode in the settings with no chaser, swapping icons, ect. Basically just make the music? Cause the soundtrack is great but it's sorta stressful to manage :p
